'Frem Skakklub' is a chess club located in the centre of Odense. Playing at the 3rd floor in 'Ungdomshuset', you are only a glance away from the bus- and railway station. As an effect of this central location in the heart of Odense, the Monday nights in Frem always have a large attendance of members which contributes to a good social community and entertaining club nights.

Membership fees

Even though chess is a hobby less expensive compared to other hobbies, 'Frem Skakklub' could not exist without membership fees. However, your first visits are of course for free. Chess training for juniors

Juniors who are interested in chess are most welcome to attend our weekly training lessons at Mondays 5.00 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. (No training in holidays).
As it is the case for adults at club nights, juniors can attend their first training lessons for free and then consider if it is of their interest to become a member of Frem Skakklub.

At these training lessons, some of the keen players of the club will go through various parts of chess, i.e. openings, structures in the middlegame, endgames, tactical exercises etc.

He is the initiator of these training lessons. He is also very interested in chess and we are always looking for new members for which reason he will be very happy to hear from you. However, it is not necessary to notify them in advance.
